What we collect
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no login and no way for us to identify you. The app contains no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs, and it has no in-app purchases.
What stays on your device
The game saves the following on your device only, so your progress survives closing the app:
- The levels you have restored, with your water drops (stars) and fewest turns
- Your coins, the looks you have earned or bought with coins, and which ones you use
- Your keepsakes, claimed rewards, achievements, milestone chests and daily gifts
- Which introductions and valleys you have already seen
- Your settings: sound effects, haptics, reduced motion and automatic update checks
- When the app last checked for an update, the release list it read, and whether you chose "Not now" on an update notice
We never receive any of it. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it from your device.
Network connections
Waterworks plays fully offline. Its one network request checks whether a newer version is available: at most twice a day, it downloads a small public file over HTTPS from our hosting provider, Supabase. You can turn this check off in Settings.
Nothing about you or your device is sent with that request — no identifiers, no progress and no account. As with any request on the internet, the provider briefly sees the IP address it came from; we do not use it to identify or track anyone. If you are offline, the game simply skips the check.
If you choose to update, the app opens the new version’s page in your app store or browser; the game itself downloads nothing else.
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Your location
- Your camera, microphone, contacts or photos
- Any advertising identifier (IDFA or Google Advertising ID)
- Analytics, behavioural or tracking data of any kind
Children
Waterworks is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete. To remove the data stored on your device, uninstall the app, or use Settings → Reset progress.
Changes
If a future version changes any of this, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date before that version is released.
